Create a Strategy with Multiple Touchpoints

A multi-pronged approach may help you magnify your message and reach people where they are, whether you're just starting out or trying to strengthen your current strategy. This strategy can include blog postings, newsletters, and perhaps a podcast. If you're not sure where to begin, Yarnway suggests leaning into your interests.

"If you're thinking about writing a book, you already have something that you're interested in, you already have a subject matter that you want to talk about; now it's just allowing your thought leadership to lead via the keyboard," he adds. He also suggests developing a thorough ecosystem in which your clients may obtain the stuff they want in the format they choose.

While developing this sort of plan may feel daunting if you're just starting out, Yarnway notes that taking a gradual and steady approach will help you find what works best for you and your organization. "It takes time to develop an audience and credibility." If you give it some time, it will undoubtedly expand".

Keep track of what works and what might be improved.

A detailed marketing plan is a good place to start, but to achieve actual success, you must optimize and develop your approach. This involves keeping track of your referrals and responding to customer and prospect feedback.

An easy approach to accomplish this is to construct a questionnaire for new clients and ask them how they discovered your organization. You may either immediately put a link on your website or email it to prospects as part of their onboarding process. 

Once you get some answers, you will be able to scale up activities that are generating referrals while improving those that aren't.

"Success leaves a trail," says Yarnway. "If you're doing the right thing, the rewards of your effort will begin to appear in their rightful forms."
